To honour the memory of Northumberland OPP Sgt. Brandon Malcolm, a condolence book has been set up for members of the community at the Brighton OPP Detachment.  A OPP motorcycle has also been set up at the Cobourg OPP Detachment.

A OPP Motorcycle has been set up in at the entrance of Northumberland’s Cobourg OPP Detachment located at 1165 Division Street in Cobourg.

The book is available in the lobby of Northumberland’s Brighton OPP Detachment, located at 95 Dundas Street in Brighton.

OPP Sergeant Brandon Malcolm joined the OPP in June 2020 and served his entire career with the Northumberland Detachment. The 33-year-old was an accomplished and proud member of the OPP Golden Helmets. He was highly respected and trusted as a leader who fostered a supportive environment. His quiet confidence, professionalism and strong work ethic made him an integral part of the OPP.

Sgt. Malcolm died in the line of duty on Monday, April 27, 2026 in a traffic collision on Highway 401.
Community members are welcome to attend during regular business hours to sign the book and leave messages of condolence.
