February 2, 2026 Collision Involving Ambulance and Transport Madoc

A Hastings Quinte Paramedic was airlifted to a Kingston hospital in critical condition following a collision between a ambulance and transport truck in Madoc on February 2, 2026.

OPP say at approximately 3 p.m. a Hastings Quinte ambulance was traveling southbound on Highway 62 and a transport truck was traveling westbound on Highway 7 in Madoc when the two vehicles collided in the intersection.

The transport collided with the driver’s side of the ambulance pushing the vehicle a distance before the tractor trailer entered the south ditch.

The paramedic driver was taken to a local hospital before being airlifted to a Kingston Hospital in critical condition.

The paramedic passenger was taken to hospital along with two occupants of the transport.

Central Hastings OPP Detachment along with the assistance of the OPP East Region Technical Collision Investigators are currently investigating the collision.
