(OSSGA) is proud to announce the winners of the 2025 Property Enhancement Award, with this year’s awards were presented today at the 2026 OSSGA Operations, Health and Safety Seminar in Mississauga.
This award recognizes companies that go above and beyond standard site management practices to create safe, sustainable and visually appealing properties that positively impact their communities.

“The Property Enhancement Award recognizes our members’ commitment to environmental stewardship and building positive community relations. These projects go beyond compliance to create spaces that are safe, sustainable and visually appealing,” said Sharon Armstrong, executive director of OSSGA. “I applaud this year’s winners for setting a high standard and showing leadership when it comes to property management and local engagement.”

The winners of this year’s Property Enhancement Award are:

• CBM Aggregates for their Shelter Valley (Grafton) site

• Amrize Canada for their Brantford (Burford), Goodwood (Goodwood) and Sharpe’s Lane (Brockville) sites

• The Miller Group for their MRT Havelock (Havelock), Nipissing (North Bay), Sydenham (Owen Sound) and Winters (Flesherton) sites

All three winners invested in maintaining the appearance and functionality of their aggregate sites, focusing on seven key areas: entrance and perimeter screening, office and scale house areas, employee spaces, plant appearance, environmental controls, trucks and mobile equipment, and communicative signage.

“Miller is honoured to receive these property enhancement awards, which highlight the dedication of our teams and their commitment to our core values of Community, Integrity, and Accountability. We strive to operate our sites in a way that reflects our vision of Building Greatness while strengthening our connection to the communities we serve,” said Scott Boyle, Miller’s vice-president of aggregates.

Amrize Canada added: “We are incredibly proud of the dedication and leadership demonstrated by our teams in Brantford, Goodwood, and Sharpe’s Lane. At Amrize, health and safety are our top priority as we help shape the future of Canada. This recognition from OSSGA reflects our teams’ unwavering commitment to the highest standards of health, safety, and property enhancement across our operations.”

CBM Aggregates shared: “This award is a meaningful recognition of the hard work and pride our Shelter Valley Pit employees take in what they do. Their ongoing efforts to enhance the Shelter Valley Pit, while operating safely and responsibly, are what truly earned this honour.

We’re grateful to OSSGA for acknowledging their commitment.”

Ultimately, this award reflects the special attention Ontario’s aggregate producers put into respecting the land they use, protecting the environment and developing positive community relations.
