New Nuclear at Wesleyville — Public Comments Invited
On December 16, 2025, the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) received an Initial Project Description (IPD) from Ontario Power Generation Inc. (the proponent) for the New Nuclear at Wesleyville project (the project).
A public comment period on the summary of the IPD will be held from January 12, 2026 to February 11, 2026. The summary of the IPD is produced by the proponent and provides a general overview of the project. It can be found on the Canadian Impact Assessment Registry website (the Registry) at:

Comments received by February 11, 2026, will be used to inform the Summary of Issues prepared by IAAC, which will include a summary of the key issues raised by First Nations and other Indigenous communities and other participants. IAAC will provide the Summary of Issues to the proponent and will post a copy on the Registry.

Important note: Comments and other documents received by IAAC during this public comment period will be added to the project file and posted on the Registry. For submissions that are not submitted directly to the Registry (such as comments and documents provided by e-mail), IAAC will remove sensitive or confidential information, such as home addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, and signatures, before posting them on the Registry.
