Municipality of Brighton Declares “The End” of Significant Weather Event
As of 12:00 p.m., on April 3, 2025, the Municipality of Brighton has declared “THE END of the Significant Weather Event.”
This declaration is in accordance with Ontario Regulation 366/18 s.8. Municipal Act 2001.
Municipal Staff will resume operating under the Minimum Maintenance Standards as outlined by the O.Reg. 239/02 Minimum Maintenance Standards (MMS).
Staff will also continue their work to:
– Remove down trees across the municipality, prioritizing higher-risk areas
– Keep open communications with updates to Hydro One, Fire Dept, OPP, and Bell.
The Municipality would like to thank residents for their cooperation, patience, and support throughout this significant weather event.
