Cobourg Police – Warrant Apprehension and Bail Compliance

Warrant apprehension and bail compliance continue to be a priority for the
Cobourg Police Service (CPS) in 2025.

Between December 9, 2024, and January 10, 2025, 21 arrests for outstanding warrants and other bail and release order violations were made through efforts from uniform officers on shift, enhanced by the Warrant Apprehension and Bail Compliance project.

Six individuals were arrested on outstanding warrants held by police services in other jurisdictions. Five were returned to the jurisdiction of the warrant.

The Warrant Apprehension and Bail Compliance project is part of a broader strategy for ongoing and integrated bail compliance efforts to ensure adherence to conditions and to reduce the risk of reoffending while improving community safety and support victims of crime.

The community is a key partner in ensuring public safety. We encourage community members to report bail or release violations, suspicious activity, and crime to police
