Cobourg Resident Celebrates $100,000 ENCORE Win
Saying “yes” to ENCORE paid off for Anastacio Onate of Cobourg. He matched the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the November 5, 2024 LOTTO MAX draw to win $100,000!
Anastacio, a retiree, has been playing the lottery with OLG for more than 30 years. He makes sure to pick up his LOTTO MAX and LOTTO 6/49 tickets weekly and uses OLG’s Quick Pick feature to make his selections. He is thrilled to share the news of his first big win!
“I was at home when I scanned my ticket using the OLG app. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing and wasn’t sure how much I had won, so I went to the store to have my ticket validated,” Anastacio recounted, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “The clerk told me I’d won $100,000 and I jumped! I was stunned and began to shake. I still can’t believe it!”
“I couldn’t keep the good news to myself,” Anastacio smiled. “I told my family and friends, and they were so excited for me. This is the happiest day of my life. I feel so lucky and blessed,” he concluded.
With his winnings, Anastacio plans to purchase an apartment and travel to the Philippines.

The winning ticket was purchased at Pioneer/On the Run on Division Street in Cobourg.
