Municipality of Brighton Welcomes New Community Engagement Officer
On Monday, August 12th, the Municipality of Brighton welcomed Morgan Scott as the new Community Engagement Officer in the Economic Development and Communications Department.
Scott joins the Municipality with over 8 years’ experience in communications, event planning, and sales and marketing. Before joining the Municipality, Morgan served as the Special Events Coordinator with the Quinte West Chamber of Commerce for the past seven years. Morgan holds a Business Marketing Diploma from Durham College.
“I am excited to serve the Municipality of Brighton as the new Community Engagement Officer,” says Scott. “I look forward to supporting Economic Development and Communication initiatives within the Municipality by working alongside members of Council, staff and our community.”
The Officer position plays a vital role in supporting Economic Development and Communications initiatives including special events and community festivals, multi-platform marketing, bolstering external and internal communications, investment attraction, and supporting businesses and business growth within the Municipality.
