Video – Rescue Training with Canadian Coast Guard in Cobourg
Members of the Canadian Coast Guard were training on Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at their base in Cobourg.
Members were training using a line throwing device that uses a blank .22 calibre cartridge that can launch a rope upwards of 300 feet.
The device is utilized for boats in distress where the Coast Guard vessel may not be able to reach them due to water depth.
After training members of the crew retrieve parts of the device from the water.
