Pumpkin Parade Brings Out the Pumpkins One Last Time in Port Hope

Critical Mass Pumpkin Parade November 1, 2022

It was a chance to take in the creative work of people at the fourth annual Pumpkin Parade put on by Critical Mass in Port Hope on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

Over 400 hundred pumpkins were dropped off at The Little Station on Lent Lane from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. and starting shortly after the pumpkins were again lit for people to walk by and look at the creative art of people that decorated their pumpkins for Halloween.

Program Director Debbie Beatty said at the end of the night volunteers put the pumpkins in a bin where they will be composted and some will be used to feed animals.

There was also a premiere of a silent, black and white filmed that was done locally.

Inside The Little Station there was a cardboard mini-version of Port Hope called, “All Aboard Boxtopia.”
