Hundreds Come Out for Remembrance Service in Cobourg

Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums lead the annual Remembrance Day Parade in downtown Cobourg.

Starting at 10 a.m. members of the Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums, veterans and dignitaries marched from Victoria Hall, down King Street, south on Church Street to cenotaph in Victoria Park.

Approximately 300 people were in attendance for the ceremony which was the first since 2019.

Jaye Bevan presided over the ceremony introducing Reverend Art King along with President of Branch 133 Bob Robison.

During the service, Chris Devlin from Concert Band of Cobourg played The Last Post and Pipe Major Michael Beech from the Cobourg Legion Pipes and Drums played a lament (Flowers of the Forrest) before wreathes were placed at the cenotaph.
