Bulldozer Needs A Bit of Help at Port Hope Area Initiative Site

On Friday April 9, 2021, a bulldozer became temporarily stuck in a muddy area during cleanup work the Port Hope Area Initiative site at 95 Mill Street south, in Port Hope.

The bulldozer became stuck while pushing clean fill/soil into a previously excavated area on the site.

All work on the site was stopped as soon as this happened, and protocols were followed to perform a safe back out.

The bulldozer was then toed out of the mud. There were no injuries to anyone during this incident.

CNL takes the safety of its workers and the public very seriously, and we are taking steps to review the site construction safety plans to prevent a recurrence,” said PHAI Manager of Public Communications and Programs Bill Daly.
