Port Hope Officer Retires After Over Four Decades of Service

After 42 years as a member of the Port Hope Police Service, Murray Devine officially retired on Friday, February 26, 2021.

At approximately 1 p.m. Devine left the building to a round of applause and hugs from colleagues and friends.

Devine was a Sergeant, but for the last 12 years served as court officer.

Staff Sgt. Katie Andrews said, “Murray always took pride of his workplace and will be missed.”

“He’s had 42-years of reliability and integrity.”
