Toronto Maple Leafs Reach Out to Kerin Family and Community of Northumberland

The Toronto Maple Leafs have reached out to the Kerin family following the loss of their son last week in a accident.

On December 2, 2020, 12-year-old Cormac Kerin was killed outside his home on the 7th Line of the Municipality of Port Hope while about to board a school bus.

His 10-year-old sister Shea was critically injured and airlifted to Sick Childrens Hospital in Toronto where she remains.

On Friday, December 11, Toronto Maple Leafs Captain John Tavares tweeted a message to the Kerin family and hockey community.

“My teammates and I extend our deepest condolences to the Kerin family for the loss of their son, Cormac – a big Maple Leafs fan.

We’re sending best wishes to She in her recovery. Our hearts go out to you and all of Northumberland.
We’re thinking of you.”
