Thanks To Volunteers The Magic of Christmas Is On Display at Northumberland Hills Hospital

Volunteers have once again decorated the Rotary Club of Cobourg Courtyard at Northumberland Hills Hospital.
A Christmas village complete with candy store adorns the courtyard at the hospital.
Volunteers included Garry Gordon, Glenn Sutherland, Bas DeMattos, Jeff Gilmer, Scott Tuttle, Steve Haslam, Scott Fraser, Jim Maguire and Dave Cromlish.
Cromlish said the main engineer (elf) is Maguire who along with Gordon and Sutherland have also added pieces.
“There has always been some sort of display the foundation would take part in putting it up,” said Cromlish.
Since Cromlish was on the Board of Directors approximately 10-years ago they’ve been adding to the project each year.
The group of volunteers worked in the snow and rain setting it up the village with the new addition of an airplane and rail car.
Because of COVID-19 delays the group was late setting up the displays.
“I think it’s great for the patients that are here over Christmas time, I think it’s great for the staff.  So it’s nice for the group of guys and girls to help out to add support to the hospital.”
