Pennywise On The Hunt Again – This Time It’s Just for Fun

Pennywise Oct 30 2020

Staff at Kawartha Vision Care helped bring a bit of a scare for Halloween.

Melindah Knott, Chelsea Legacy and Maiu Krik got together and planned an evening with Pennywise from the blockbuster horror film IT that was filmed in Port Hope.

“With COVID a lot of our patients told us they weren’t going to be trick or treating so we got chatting about what a tough year it’s been for kids and parents,” said Knott.

“That’s when Chelsea suggested I resssurect my Pennywise costume and post an ad on Facebook for Candy-grams.”

Within hours two evenings of fun had been booked with people from Cobourg, Port Hope and the Baltimore area.

Knott spent hours getting ready on Friday, October 30, 2020 with the help of Legacy.

Krik dressed up like Georgie and the three were off travelling the area bringing joy, laughs and a few scares to people.

“It was a fun night,” Knott said at the end of the first evening.

“Great reactions and people were genuinely excited about having a visit from Pennywise.”
