Motorcycle and Van Collide Head-On in Colborne
Two people were sent to hospital following a head-on collision between a motorcycle and van in Colborne on Saturday, June 27, 2020.
At approximately 8:16 p.m. a westbound van and a eastbound motorcycle collided head-on on Park Street East at Burnham Street in Colborne.
A man and woman on the motorcycle were taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Tire marks from the motorcycle were clearly visible on the front of the van.
One helmet was in the roadway and another a short distance away in the ditch. Debris was scattered along Park Street East.
Cramahe Fire Department along with Northumberland OPP and Northumberland County Paramedics attended the scene.
The driver and passenger of the van were not injured in the collision.
Northumberland OPP said that members of the Technical Traffic Collision Investigation team would be attending the scene and the area would be cordoned off for several hours.
