Clanging Pots and Pans In Support of Frontline Workers in Cobourg

April12potsandpans

At 7:30 p.m. sharp each night Blake and Nora Jones from King Street East in Cobourg start the chorus of clanging pots and pans.

Soon after, the sound of clanging can be heard in apartment buildings across the street from the Jone’s and also in buildings beside them.

Some people open their windows and bang pots, others go on their balconies.

The Jone’s walked down Henry Street to alert the homes there to come out.

The area of King Street has just started approximately three days ago, but with the support is growing fast in the neighbourhood.

The event is one of many across the country to show their support to the front line workers during the COVID-19 crisis.
