Cobourg Police – Woman Charged with Theft

The Cobourg Police have arrested and charged a female after responding to a report of shoplifting.

On Tuesday the 28th day of January 2020, at approximately 1:30 pm, police responded to a business located on Strathy Road in the Town of Cobourg after receiving a report of a female attempting to leave the premise with unpaid merchandise concealed on her person.

As a result of a subsequent Police investigation, 33-year-old Lindsay HOSKIN of Grafton was arrested and charged with theft under $5000 and Possession of Property obtained by crime under the Criminal Code.

HOSKIN was subsequently released from police custody, scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in March of 2020.
