New Deputy Fire Chief for Cramahe Township
Cramahe Township council, with Fire Chief Tim Burgess, are pleased to announce and welcome Matt Halmasy as Deputy Fire Chief to the Cramahe Township Fire Department.
“Matt brings many years of service with the Alnwick-Haldimand Fire Department including 12 years as an officer,” Cramahe Fire Chief Tim Burgess says. “He has demonstrated, with many examples, leadership and dedication in the fire service, most currently teaching for Northumberland County as well as Norwood E.O.E.T.A. (Eastern Ontario Emergency Training Academy).”
The Deputy Chief reports to the Fire Chief and is responsible for all activities related to the development, implementation, coordination and administration of Fire Prevention and Inspection duties within the Township of Cramahe.
Matt Halmasy’s appointment is effective December 20, 2019. He will report to the Fire Chief.
The Cramahe Township Fire Department is a volunteer service with two locations: the headquarters/fire station in Colborne and a Castleton fire station.
