Petticoat Lane is Getting a Facelift at Northumberland Hills Hospital

Good news is in store for shoppers at Petticoat Lane – the biggest fundraiser run by the Northumberland Hills Hospital Auxiliary.

Chair Marg Hilborn reported at the December NHH board meeting that the Munroe Street thrift shop will soon be getting a facelift.

“Selena (Forsyth, auxiliary vice-president) has been working with an architect-designer, who gave some advice to us regarding what we could do,” Hilborn said.

They must operate within the confines of their leased premises – for example, they can’t do anything structurally like take down walls.

“But what we are looking to do is find some colour for inside, get a better sign that goes over the entryway and not over the locked doors – spruce it up. They are very excited about that.”
