Update – Arson Being Investigated At Chadwick’s Impound Lot In Cobourg

On October 6th, 2019 at approximately 5:00 am the Cobourg Police Service responded to a fire at Chadwick’s Towing Impound Yard at 107 Veronica Street in Cobourg.

Cobourg Police Forensic Identification Officer and the Criminal Investigations Branch attended and examined the scene. Through investigation it was determined that the fire appears to have been deliberately set and that a vehicle had also been stolen. Several vehicles and a boat were heavily damaged by the fire and the loss is estimated at under $100,000.

A report to Today’s Northumberland indicated police are looking for a 2011 green pickup truck.  The pickup truck had been stolen previously and was in the compound when it was stolen again.
