Climate Strike Movement Hits Cobourg and Port Hope

On Friday September 27, 2019 concerned citizens of all ages gathered in front of Victoria Hall in Cobourg and at the Memorial Park Bandshell in Port Hope in support of the global #FridaysForFuture climate strike movement.

The events were held in tandem with community events and student strikes across the country and around the world calling on all adults, business leaders and politicians to take measures now to curb and halt climate change.

This is the second major day of action this month, building on the momentum of the 20 September protests which were likely the largest climate strikes in world history with over 4 million people participating in strikes worldwide.
