New Position Added to the Cobourg Police Service

The Cobourg Police Service welcome Laurie Debattista to the newly-created position of Corporate Communications Coordinator. Laurie, a University of Toronto graduate, brings over ten years of experience in communications from her time at Cameco Corporation where she handled all aspects of corporate communications.
The reason behind the new position comes from the Cobourg Police Service business plan that was released late last year. One of the key objectives in the plan is to enhance the effectiveness of communications with the public. In Laurie’s new role she will oversee areas such as public relations, website, social media, promotional material, and the Cobourg Police Service brand.
“We feel that having a dedicated person to fulfill our communication needs would not only benefit the Cobourg Police Service but the community as well. Laurie has already proven to be a great addition to our team and we are excited to have her on board,” comments Chief of Police Kai Liu.
