The driver of a vehicle that was cut in half following a collision with a van walked away with minor injuries in Hamilton Township on Thursday, March 7, 2019.
Emergency services were called to the area of Burnham Street North near Wallace Jibb Road after two vehicles collided.
The vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when the impact happened.
A car was literally cut in half by the force of the impact, but miraculously the driver of the car and the driver of the van only suffered minor injuries.
“This easily could have ended tragically when you see the damage to the car,” said Hamilton Fire Chief Kelly Serson.
“It’s one of the worst collisions I’ve seen where someone has walked away virtually unscathed.”
