Confusion over Police Services Act Hearing for Port Hope Police Constable

There seems to be confusion involving the Police Services Act hearing for a Port Hope Police Constable.
Constable JoeAnn Kortman has been suspended with pay for over two years from the Port Hope Police Service.
Kortman was suspended in November 2016 is facing 20 charges under the Police Services Act including deceit, insubordination, breach of confidence, discreditable conduct and neglect of duty.
The hearing was scheduled to take place on Tuesday December 11, Wednesday December 12 and and Thursday December 13, 2018 at the Comfort Inn in Port Hope starting at 10 a.m.
But late Monday night, under the Port Hope Police Services website Calendar of Events it stated “Hearing for Constable – discreditable conduct – CANCELLED.”
But it appears the hearing wasn’t cancelled and did take place briefly at the Comfort Inn on Tuesday morning.
On the Port Hope Police Services website Calendar of Events on Tuesday, December 11 the notice was changed stating, “Hearing for Constable – Discreditable conduct – adjourned.”
It’s unknown what took place at the hearing which was open to the public, but Port Hope Police did confirm the hearing didn’t last long and was adjourned until Thursday, December 13 for a tele-conference.
