Northumberland OPP – Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement

4 Vehicles Taken Out Of Service

(NORTHUMBERLAND, ON) – On August 7, 2018 Officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) with the assistance from the Peterborough Highway Safety Division (HSD) Traffic Unit and the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) enforcement officers, conducted Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) checks on County Road 26 in the Municipality of Brighton.

Officers dedicated several hours focusing on CMV safety and insecure load checks. As a result of their efforts 4 vehicles were taken out of service, 3 of which were towed, and 15 additional fines were issued for various CMV and Highway Traffic Act (HTA) offences.
