Home Depot’s Cobourg Store Kicked-off the Orange Door Project
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY – The Home Depot’s Cobourg store has kicked-off the Orange Door Project campaign once again. The Orange Door Project is The Home Depot Canada’s annual in-store fundraiser to help end youth homelessness. From today until June 24, folks who visit the Cobourg Home Depot store will have the opportunity to donate $2 at the checkout in support of Cornerstone Family Violence Prevention Centre (Cornerstone).
“We’re stronger together,” says Janelle Eisler, Manager of Community Engagement with Cornerstone. “Home Depot Canada is as passionate about ending youth homelessness as we are. This campaign gives us the opportunity to reach many more people than we could on our own – including individuals who may never have heard of our organization otherwise,” adds Eisler.
“When you donate to the Orange Door campaign at the Cobourg Home Depot store, every dollar supports Cornerstone’s mission,” says Nancy Johnston, Executive Director with Cornerstone. “The Home Depot covers all the administrative costs which means we will benefit from 100% of your donations,” Johnston adds.
