Frustrations with some tenants of a building that suffered major fire damage in Port Hope on May 17 are rising.
Today’s Northumberland has learned one tenant was charged with trespassing after witnesses saw him going inside the building several times on Wellington Street over the weekend.

All the residents escaped the building with credit being given to Marilyn Lupiccini for rushing in to the lobby and using the buzzer to notify several residents of the actual fire.
Since the fire some people have secured residency around Northumberland County.
It’s unknown if the building will be torn down because of the level of damage, but some occupants are clearly frustrated at the lack of answers on the future of the building.
The tenant was given a $65 Provincial Offence Notice for trespassing.
