Robbery at Colborne Convenience Store – Northumberland OPP
(COLBORNE, ON) –On May 10, 2018 at 5:12 a.m. the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a robbery at a business on King Street East in Colborne involving a lone male suspect who entered the store and demanded money from the clerk. He left the store with a quantity of cash. No weapon was seen and the clerk was not injured.
The male was described as Caucasian, 5 5”-5 7” (165-170cm), thin build wearing a black hoodie. An officer responding to the call located and arrested a male matching the description in a backyard of a nearby residence.
A canine unit along with OPP Emergency Response Team members searched the area for any evidence.
Tyler John THYNNE age 22 of Colborne, Ontario is charged with Robbery, Fail to Comply with Recognizance and Fail to Comply with Probation Order. He was held for a bail hearing scheduled later today.
