Canadian Fire Fighter’s Museum Closes Permanently – At Least On Mill Street South in Port Hope
It’s the end of an era – at least for now.
The final day for the Canadian Fire Fighter’s Museum was held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Mill Street South location in Port Hope.
For other three decades the land was the home of the CFFM, but the the land will be remediated as part of the Port Hope Area Initiative.
For volunteers at the museum it’s a major setback, but they still haven’t lost all hope at finding another home for the museum.
Fundraising Chair John Appleman, Port Hope Deputy Mayor Greg Burns and Barry Adamson who is the organizer for the annual Float Your Fanny Down the Ganny.
Adamson successfully bid on fencing he was picking up at the museum on Saturday.
