Update – Port Hope Police – Driver Charged Following Collision Involving Motorized Wheelchair (No Name Released)

Port Hope Police Service has concluded its investigation into the August 13, 2026, motor vehicle collision involving a vehicle and a motorized wheelchair in the area of Jocelyn Street and Cavan Street.

As a result of the investigation, the driver of the vehicle has been charged with Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act.

The collision occurred while both the vehicle and motorized wheelchair were travelling eastbound on Jocelyn Street. The operator of the wheelchair was transported to Northumberland Hills Hospital with minor injuries.

This investigation is now concluded.
