Northumberland OPP – Police Seek Public Assistance in Theft Investigation

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a theft and is seeking assistance from the public.

On August 14, 2026, an individual entered a restricted area of a business on Telephone Road in the Municipality of Brighton. The person stole a wallet containing a bank card and personal identification before leaving the location.

A number of fraudulent transactions were subsequently carried out with the stolen items.

As part of the ongoing investigation, the OPP is releasing an image of the person sought in connection to the incident.

Police are asking anyone who can identify the person, or who has information relating to this investigation, to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 and reference incident numb er E261183906.
