Police are requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing male who departed from the Oshawa Airport at 8:30 a.m. on August 14, 2026.
David, age 73, is an experienced pilot and departed the airport in a single home-built aircraft and was expected to return at 9:30 a.m.
He is described as: male, 5’7” tall, with a slim build. He has black/grey hair and a moustache.
The aircraft is described as a blue and yellow single home-built aircraft.
David typically flies in the area south of Kawartha Lakes township and north of Lake Scugog, however the last known location of the aircraft is believed to be around Balsam Lake.
DRPS is working with the Ontario Provincial Police and the Trenton Joint Rescue Coordination Centre who are assisting in the search for the missing male.
