Northumberland OPP – Four Suspects Charged with Drug Trafficking (Names Released)

Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), while conducting Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) checkpoints, have charged four individuals with drug-related offences.

On August 2, 2026, shortly after 3:00 a.m., members of the Northumberland OPP were conducting a RIDE checkpoint at Albert Street West and Bridge Street North in Trent Hills. As part of the initiative, officers stopped a vehicle at the checkpoint and subsequently initiated a drug investigation.

As a result of the investigation, police seized quantities of suspected cocaine, fentanyl, and unidentified pills, along with a prohibited weapon, drug trafficking paraphernalia, and a large quantity of Canadian currency.

Four individuals were arrested and charged.

Danielle GIRARD, 37 years old of Trent Hills, was charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

Casey McNABB, 45 years old of Trent Hills, was charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

Tyler TRAYNOR, 32 years old of Trenton, was charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

Matthew MUTTON, 33 years old of Trent Hills, was charged with:

• Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – cocaine

• Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose

All accused are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, to answer to their charges.
