Port Hope Police – Public Notice – Increased Police Presence Victoria Street North
Residents may notice an increased police presence in the area of Victoria Street North today.
Police were contacted by a resident regarding the disposal of old ammunition. As a safety precaution, the Durham Regional Police Explosive Disposal Unit has been requested to attend and assess the items before safely disposing of them.
There is no ongoing threat to public safety. Updates will be provided if additional information becomes available.
