Quinte OPP – Trenton Man Charged in Child Exploitation Investigation (Name Released)

Police have arrested and charged an individual following a child sexual exploitation investigation.

On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, Officers with the Quinte West Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a residence in Trenton. Assistance was provided by members of the OPP Child Sexual Exploitation Unit (CSEU) and the OPP Digital Forensics Unit. Several electronic devices were seized.

As a result of the investigation, Kyle PEIRSON, 30 years old of Trenton, was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offence:

Possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material

The accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.

The OPP will continue to identify and pursue individuals who use technology to exploit children.
