Belleville Police – Incidents Include Assault, Fail to Comply Warrants

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 101 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on March 31, 2026 to 5:00 am on April 1, 2026.

Warrants
On March 31st at 4:36pm, Belleville Police responded to a report of an unwanted individual at a business on Dundas Street East. Upon arrival, officers observed the individual alongside a female. Officers spoke with the individuals, and upon investigation, learned that the female had multiple outstanding Belleville Police Service arrest warrants.

As a result, Cheyenne Maracle, 34-year-old Belleville woman of no fixed address, was arrested on the strength of the warrants and held for a bail hearing.

Fail to Comply
On March 31st at 3:35pm, Belleville Police attended a business on North Front Street regarding a report that a male was present, in breach of a court order. Officers attended and located the male inside the business.

As a result of investigation, a 51-year-old Belleville man of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with fail to comply with a prohibition regarding children. He was held for a bail hearing.

 

Assault
On March 31st, Belleville Police received a report regarding an assault that occurred on March 21st. Investigation revealed that a physical confrontation took place between two males, during which one male struck the other on the head with a glass object, causing it to shatter. The injured male attended a local hospital with minor injuries.

As a result of investigation, a 23-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:
· Assault with a weapon
· Assault causing bodily harm
· Fail to comply with a probation order X2

He was held for a bail hearing.
