The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid multiple charges in several recent investigations.
On March 21, 2026, at approximately 9:45 p.m., officers responded to a report of a possible impaired driver in the area of Oak Ridges Drive in the Township of Hamilton.
Officers located a pickup truck matching the description on County Road 45 in the Township of Alnwick/Haldimand. After speaking with the driver, police initiated an impaired operation investigation.
The individual was taken into custody and transported to a local detachment for further testing.
Rodney MARTIN-GRAY (29) from Roseneath, has been charged with:
– Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in April.
On March 23, 2026, shortly after 1:30 a.m., police received a complaint regarding a driver playing loud music and revving a vehicle engine outside an address on Wallace Street in the Municipality of Trent Hills.
OPP attended and, after interacting with the driver, initiated an impaired operation investigation. The individual was taken into custody and transported to a local detachment.
Cody CAMPBELL (26) from the Municipality of Trent Hills, has been charged with:
– Operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs
– Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
– Fail to comply with probation order
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in May.
For each of the accused charged with impaired operation, a 90-day Administrative Driver’s License Suspension (ADLS) and a seven-day vehicle impound were also imposed.
On March 21, 2026, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers responded to a traffic complaint involving a driver tailgating, passing another vehicle, and brake checking on Concession Road 8 West in the Municipality of Trent Hills.
Police located a vehicle matching the description on County Road 25 and conducted a traffic stop.
A 42-year-old male, from Trenton, was charged with:
– Driving while under suspension
– Drive vehicle or boat with cannabis readily available.
On March 15, 2026, police received a complaint regarding an assault that had occurred the previous week at a residence on Percy Street in the Township of Cramahe.
Officers spoke with the complainant, who reported non-serious injuries. Following further investigation, police arrested one individual on March 20.
Brittany MURCAR (32) from Lindsay, has been charged with:
– Assault
The accused is due to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg in April.
