Port Hope Police – Driver Arrested for Impaired and Drug Possession (No Name Released)

The Port Hope Police Service has charged an individual following an impaired driving investigation.

On March 7, 2026, at approximately 3:19 p.m., officers arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with an impaired driving investigation. As a result of the investigation, the individual was charged with:

Operation While Impaired – Criminal Code 320.14(1)(a)

Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Controlled Drugs and Substances Act 4(1)

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice at a later date.

The Port Hope Police Service reminds the public that impaired driving remains a serious criminal offence that puts the safety of everyone on the road at risk. Anyone who suspects an impaired driver is encouraged to contact police immediately.
