City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Driver Facing Five Charges Including Impaired (Name Released)
Members from the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into an impaired driving investigation after receiving a traffic complaint.
On Thursday September 25, 2025 at approximately 10:11 pm, officers were notified of a possible impaired driver from a concerned citizen. Officers located the motor vehicle and began an impaired driving investigation. The driver was charged with Criminal Code, Highway Traffic Act, Liquor License Act and Compu lsory Automobile Insurance Act offences.
Katlyn Pearce, 37-year-old of Fenelon Falls, was charged with:
Operation while Impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration Over 80
Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and Drugs
Having Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor
Fail to Notify of Change of Address
Fail to Surrender Insurance Card
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay at a later date. The drivers license was suspended for 90 days and the motor vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
