Five suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with Project Egypt, an investigation targeting an organized auto theft trafficking group from Quebec.
In June 2025, members of Project Attire – the DRPS Auto Theft Unit (ATU) began Project Egypt – an auto theft trafficking investigation. Investigators identified a group of suspects operating an organized auto theft trafficking group from Quebec.
On September 17, 2025, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Mississauga. Five suspects were arrested and investigators seized offence related property found inside the residence. Eight stolen vehicles were recovered during the course of this investigation.
One previous search warrant in Quebec resulted in the identification of approximately 25 stolen vehicles that were re-vinned.
All five suspects reside in Quebec and travelled to Greater Toronto Area where they stole vehicles.

Jean-Junior GOUREILLE, age 24 of Quebec is charged with: Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence; Traffic in Property Obtained by Crime Exceeding $5000 x5; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime for the Purpose of Trafficking Exceeding $5000 x5; Theft of Motor Vehicle x4 and Fail to Comply with Probation Order x2
Kyle CAIN, age 22, of Quebec is charged with: Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence; Traffic in Property Obtained by Crime Exceeding $5000 x8; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime for the Purpose of Trafficking Exceeding $5000 x9; Theft of Motor Vehicle x7; Disguise with Intent x2; Possession of Weapons Dangerous to the Public Peace and Trespass at Night
Dylan CHIMUSORO, age 19 of Quebec is charged with: Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence; Traffic in Property Obtained by Crime Exceeding $5000 x7; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime for the Purpose of Trafficking Exceeding $5000 x9; Theft of Motor Vehicle x6; Attempt Theft Exceeding $5000; Disguise with Intent; Possession of Weapons Dangerous to the Public Peace and Trespass at Night x2
Joshua JEAN-LOUIS, age 24 of Quebec is charged with: Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence; Traffic in Property Obtained by Crime Exceeding $5000 x8; Possession of Property Obtained by Crime for the Purpose of Trafficking Exceeding $5000 x8 and Theft of a Motor Vehicle x4
All were held for bail hearings.
Project Attire is DRPS’ response to Ontario’s Preventing Auto Theft (PAT) Grant program, which is designed to support new and enhanced crime-fighting measures.
