Port Hope Police Investigating Theft of Two Trailers
Port Hope Police are investigating after two trailers were stolen on Monday, September 1, 2025.
The brazen thefts took place at approximately 6:30 a.m .on Monday morning.
Both trailers were full of products.
Both cabs were recovered. One was located nearby in a grass field and the other was located on Croft Street near Rose Glen Road.
It’s unknown if the thefts are related to a theft of a Freightliner cab that occurred in Cobourg sometime between August 30-31, 2025.
The white, 2017 Freightliner was stolen from a parking lot on Willmott Street in the Town of Cobourg.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information, dashcam footage, or security camera footage of the area is asked to call the police at 905-372-6821 or leave an anonymous tip with Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS or visiting stopcrimehere.ca.
Tips received through Crime Stoppers may be eligible for a cash reward.
