Get Ready to Hike, Bike and Bark for Hospice – Registration is now open!

Registration is officially open for Hike, Bike and Bark for Hospice, taking place Sunday, September 28 at Victoria Park in Cobourg! Walk, bike, or bring your furry friend for a fun-filled day in support of Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre Foundation.

Register today at hikebikebarkforhospice.ca.

Anyone who registers between August 11 and 31 will be automatically entered to win one of three exclusive Early Bird Prize Packs!

Participants can register as individuals, join an existing team, or start one of their own. Each registrant gets access to a personalized fundraising dashboard to track donations, share their story, and climb the leaderboard in the race for Top Individual Fundraiser and Top Fundraising Team.

Every dollar raised helps the care teams at Ed’s House Northumberland Hospice Care Centre provide essential services such as Volunteer Hospice support, In-Home Visiting Hospice, Education, Grief and Bereavement, Counselling, and end-of-life care in their 10-suite hospice residence – all offered free of charge to the families they serve.

“We hope everyone will join us! It’s a fun, uplifting day for a great cause,” says Trish Baird, CEO of Community Care Northumberland. “A huge thank you to our amazing committee, staff, and volunteers who make this event possible year after year.”

Whether you’re walking in memory of a loved one, cycling for a cause, or just enjoying a day out with your canine friend, there’s a route for everyone. Choose from 2k, 5k, or 10k options. Kids under 12 and dogs participate for free, while individuals (13+) can register for just $30, which includes an official event t-shirt and race kit.

Local businesses, organizations, and community groups are invited to support this impactful event as sponsors. To explore sponsorship opportunities or share your hospice story as part of this year’s campaign, please contact Kristin Andrews at k.andrews@commcare.ca or call 905-885-0466.
