Cobourg Police – Incidents Include Mischief, Outstanding Warrant, x3 Fail to Comply, Cause Disturbance (No Names Released)

A 26-year-old Cobourg woman has been charged with mischief after police responded to a report from a downtown business.

On July 14, 2025, police responded to a mischief report at a business on Division Street. The business was able to provide police with CCTV footage, and police were able to identify a suspect. The individual was subsequently located and arrested without incident.  As a result of the investigation, a 26-year-old Cobourg woman was charged with mischief under $5,000 and failure to comply with Probation. The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions.


A 28-year-old man wanted on an outstanding warrant is facing charges after being located by police on patrol.

On July 14, 2025, at approximately 6:20 p.m., police on patrol observed a man known to be wanted on the strength of an outstanding warrant in the area of Victoria Park in Cobourg.  As officers approached the male, he fled, resulting in a foot pursuit.  The male was subsequently located and taken into custody.  During the arrest, he was found to be in possession of a quantity of controlled substances.  As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old Cobourg male was charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid (Other than Heroin), Failure to Comply with Release Order, and three counts of failure to comply with Probation. The accused was held for a bail hearing.


A 56-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after police responded to a disturbance at a business early Tuesday morning.

On July 15, 2025, at approximately 2:15 a.m., police attended a disturbance at a business on Division Street and Veronica Street in Cobourg.  Through investigation, it was determined that an individual had been screaming outside the business and had made threats to kill a Cobourg Police officer.  As a result of the investigation, a 56-year-old Cobourg man was arrested without incident and charged with causing a disturbance, uttering threats to cause death, and failure to comply with probation. The accused was held for a bail hearing.
