Members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating a recent break and enter that occurred at a residence on 5 Concession Street West in the village of Warkworth.

Home owners called police to report that their residence had been entered sometime between the hours of 6:00 am and 5:00 pm on June 18, 2025. Upon the owners returning home at the end of the day they discovered a wide open man door that led into the kitchen of the residence . Once inside their home they observed a number of items through out the house displaced, dishes left in the sink, packaging from food that had been in the freezer put into the garbage and their bed slept on.
