Belleville Police Service – Disturbance Leads to Arrest
On the 1st of April at 2:49am, police were dispatched to a disturbance on Front St. where multiple people were fighting.
Upon police arrival, most of the participants had dispersed.
An involved male headed towards the frigid and fast-moving river.
While speaking to the male it was clearly evident he was intoxicated from the consumption of alcohol and unable to care for himself as he continued to flirt with danger near the river.
Police arrested the male for his own safety and protection for being intoxicated in a public place.
He was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he will remain until sober.
The 30-year-old Belleville man was issued a Provincial Offence Notice under the Liquor Licence Control Act.
