A vote at Northumberland County council’s Economic Development, Tourism, Land Use Planning Committee meeting Wednesday brought a new plan of subdivision in Colborne closer to fruition.
The committee accepted the recommendation for draft approval for the development known as Foxtail Ridge South from Manager of Land Use Planning Ashley Yearwood.
The report before the committee said there are 210 residential units in this subdivision development – 154 detached dwellings, with 20 units in semi-detached format and 36 as townhouse dwellings.
The 40 acres are located near Colborne Public School with frontages on the west side of Durham Street, the east side of Kensington Street and the south side of Prairie Run Road.
It includes a two-acre park block and 2.48-acre stormwater management block, both of which will be transferred to the Township of Cramahe.
The motion passed by the committee directs staff to sent notice of the draft approval and related conditions to all applicable parties in accordance with the Planning Act.
