Belleville Police – Incidents Include Structure Fire, Traffic Enforcement

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 82 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on March 3, 2025 to 5:00 am on March 4, 2025.

Structure Fire
On the 3rd of March at approximately 6:45pm, Belleville Police responded to a residence on Alnet Dr. at the request of the Belleville Fire Department who were already on scene at a residential fire.

The fire appears to have originated in the garage which was fully engulfed upon arrival by fire.

All of the residents were able to safely evacuate the home.

The fire is not deemed to be suspicious in nature and is believed to have started as a car fire involving the vehicle’s battery while parked inside the garage.

Traffic Enforcement
On the 3rd of March at 7:38am, members of the Belleville Police Service’s Traffic Safety Unit observed a motor vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Dundas Street East near Pinnacle St. The driver, a 24-year-old male from Belleville was observed travelling at 93km/h in a posted 50km/h zone.

As a result, he was charged with stunt driving and issued a summons for traffic court.

Additionally, his driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
