City of Belleville’s First Annual Seedy Saturday
The City of Belleville’s Green Task Force committee is partnering with Seeds of Diversity Canada, The Belleville Garden Club and Quinte Conservation on Belleville’s first annual Seedy Saturday event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 1 at Centennial High School (180 Palmer Rd.).
Everyone is welcome to attend this exciting community gardening event. Come and learn urban gardening techniques so you can grow your favourite herbs and vegetables.
There will be presentations on container and raised bed gardening and the use of native plants and trees in your landscape, as well as a seed swap table, children’s activities, information on local community gardens, seed and gardening vendors, refreshments and more. Admission is free but donations are welcome.
